Si tratta di quindici danze scritte in intavolatura italiana. Questa partitura assume una certa importanza in campo mandolinistico poiché, ad oggi, sebbene il termine mandola fosse già presente e citato nel XVI secolo (James Tyler & Paul Sparks, The Early Mandolin Oxford University Press, 1989) e la mandola più antica arrivata ai nostri giorni sia uno strumento di produzione padovana datato 1630 conservato al Metropolitan Museum di New York, questo documento, attribuito attorno al 1680 (James Tyler & Paul Sparks, ibid.), oltre ai documenti della Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Firenze, Fondo Magliabechiano XIX 28 e XIX 29, è uno dei primi esempi di letteratura originale per lo strumento e, parimenti ai documenti del Fondo Magliabechiano, è un raro esempio di intavolatura per mandolino.   There are fifteen dances written in Italian tablature. The score takes importance in the mandolin literature because – although James Tyler and Paul Sparks in The Early Mandolin Oxford University Press write that the word “mandola” was already used and mentioned in the 16th century and the oldest mandola that has survived to our day is an Paduan instrument dated 1630 preserved in the Metropolitan Museum of New York – this document (dated 1680 by Tyler & Sparks) together with the documents of the Florence Biblioteca Centrale Nazionale, Fondo Magliabechiano XIX 28 and XIX 29 is one of the first examples of original literature for the instrument and, likewise documents of Fondo Magliabechiano, is a rare example of tablature for mandolin.
