Con l’organo, dialogano di volta in volta oboe, oboe d’amore e corno inglese grazie all’Arte di tre importanti compositori italiani, vincitori di prestigiosi riconoscimenti internazionali (Paolo Geminiani, Cristina Landuzzi, Paolo Quilichini), e di quattro altrettanto celebri organisti (Eric Lebrun, Arturo Sacchetti, Luca Salvadori e Francesco Tasini). Elemento unificatore della loro creatività è il Pneuma, il respiro, il soffio risonante che è metafora della vita; quello che Tertulliano (De anima), parafrasando gli aurei versi di Virgilio (Spiritus intus alit, totamque infusa per artus Mens agitat molem), paragona all’anima che «non si divide, ma si distribuisce nelle varie membra, diverse eppure unificate nel corpo». Ecco quindi gli strumenti coesi non solo dal comune principio vitale del respiro, ma dalla forza unificatrice della fratellanza artistica di anime (quelle dei compositori e quelle dei dedicatari delle loro opere) che produce un’unica, affascinante risonanza pur nell’articolata varietà dei multiformi elementi con cui essa si esprime. This edition, which seals the artistic partnership between the oboist Marino Bedetti and the organist Andrea Macinanti that began in January 1987, contains a silloge of original pages dedicated to them. Hautbois, Hautbois d’amour and English Horn sometimes dialogue with the Organ, thanks to the Art of three important Italian composers, winners of prestigious international awards (Paolo Geminiani, Cristina Landuzzi, Paolo Quilichini), and four equally famous organists (Eric Lebrun, Arturo Sacchetti, Luca Salvadori and Francesco Tasini). The unifying element of their creativity is the Pneuma, the breath, the resonant breath which is a metaphor for life; what Tertullian (De anima), paraphrasing Virgil’s golden verses (Spiritus intus alit, totamque infused for artus Mens agitat molem), compares to the soul that «does not divide, but is distributed in the various limbs, different yet unified in the body». The instruments are here united not only by the common vital principle of breath, but by the unifying force of the artistic brotherhood of souls (those of the composers and those of the two addressees) which produces a unique, fascinating resonance even in the articulated variety of the multiform elements with which it expresses itself.
