Voleva dire che se non sei veramente a posto potrai suonare discretamente ma non riuscirai comunque ad arrivare ad un buon livello ed a volte la differenza è veramente piccola. Gli mostrai una bozza del libro e la trovò interessante e che era una buona idea perché non ci sono libri così strutturati per chi inizia. Molte persone credono che quando si incomincia a studiare l’importante è suonare, dopo ci si metterà a posto; la mia esperienza personale mi ha insegnato che è importante cominciare bene per non perdere tempo in un secondo momento a correggere errori di impostazione che limitano le proprie esecuzioni. Ho trovato sempre difficoltà nel trovare un metodo per un trombettista agli inizi che contenga quello che è importante studiare; in fondo si tratta solo di una raccolta di esercizi che affrontano i vari aspetti del suonare la tromba per chi è alle prime armi o per chi suona e vuole ripassare alcuni concetti di base.
